Welcome to Green Leaf Wood Studio. My name is Steven Kubien. I am a Canadian Artist living and working in Ajax, Ontario (20 minutes east of Toronto). My goal is to provide unique wooden products to quality-focused people and businesses. Utilizing eco-friendly wood choices and premium components, these products are designed to be enjoyed for a lifetime and by future generations. Reclaimed and responsibly harvested timber, along with safe wood finishes help to ensure the health of our environment.  Everything you see on this site has been created by me, with Mother Nature acting as a design influence. Woodturning is a passion of mine. I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy bringing it to you.

In the "Pen Gallery" you will find a selection of fine writing instruments made of woods from around the globe and our own backyard. Whether you prefer a straight forward ballpoint or the classic elegance of a fountain pen you are sure to find something to suit your tastes. If you are looking for a specific wood species, please let me know. My network of suppliers allows me access to timbers from all parts of North America and occasionally, some unique species from Australia, Africa, Central and South America. If age, disease or Mother Nature force you to remove a tree from your family home or property, let's discuss a few ways to preserve some of your family's memories.

By clicking the "Bowls" option under the Products menu, you will be taken to the ever-expanding bowl gallery. Watch for new arrivals all of the time. >From large salad and fruit bowls to smaller single-serving rice bowls, there is something for every table and budget.

"Peppermills" is an area I am taking a great deal of enjoyment from.  They are simply fun to make!  From the unique to the WOW!, you will find it here.

"Oher items" is a catch-all basin for things which do not fit under bowls or pens.  Decorative hollow forms, wine bottle stoppers, wooden utensils and more can be found here. In time, some of these items will have their own galleries but for now they have to remain friendly with one another.
