Cremation Urns PDF Print E-mail

In 2008, I was honoured to be asked to create a small keepsake urn for a dear friend of mine.  It was a very theraputic process for as I grieved the loss of my friend and also helped his widow along her path of grieving.  Since that time, I have had an interest in helping others by producing wooden cremation urns.

I handcraft each urn offered here.  I use locally sourced wood, usually the result of storm damage, tree trimming services and residents taking care of their property.  Occasionally, exotic woods from around the world are used as accent pieces.  Smaller keepsake urns are often made entirely from these woods whose grain and figure are so stunning.

Please feel to contact me if you have and questions or concerns.

Keepsake Urns

People often take comfort in possessing a small quantity of ashes of a loved one.  It can help people through the grieving and gives comfort with the idea that deceased is still with us.  These keepsake urns are made with these things in mind.  They are especially welcomed by large families and help ease concerns of guardianship over remains.

Each of these urns is made to the same high standards as  full-sized urns.  Careful wood selection and preparation is key to creating each piece of functional art.  Multiples of specific urns can be made though I caution, no two will ever be exactly the same.  There will be slight variances in size and, of course, grain pattern.
