Pen Gallery

Each one of our pens is hand-crafted. Using only the finest woods and premium components, no two are exactly alike. Because of this, when you order one of our writing instruments, YOU WILL RECEIVE THE ITEM IN THE PICTURE. You will not get something "close".

If you require multiples of a certain pen (type and species), please use the Contact Us button on the left side. Write to us so we can discuss your particular needs.

If the pen you are interested it in is marked as SOLD, please inquire about. Chances are good a similar pen can be made for at no additional cost.

To make things easier for visitors, I have grouped similar types of pens together.

You can also see a variety of my products on my Etsy site, http://www.greenleafwood.etsy.com/.  Check out is especially easy through Etsy.

Rollerball Pens

While ballpoint and rollerball pens operate in a similar way, the way they feel as you use them is very different.

Rollerballs typically feature a ceramic ball and thinner , easier flowing ink than a ballpoint.  What this means to you is a finer line, with less effort.  Simply put, rollerballs write more easily than ballpoints.  In fact, I consider them a mid-way point between a ballpoint and a fountain pen.

Ballpoint pens

The history of the ballpoint pen goes back to 1938 when László Biró registered his invention.  Since then, companies such as Bic and Papermate have produced, literally, millions of disposable pens and sold them around the world.  Ah yes, the disposable ballpoint pen...  A dietary staple for many school aged children around the world, chewing on the ends and caps until they could actually taste the thick blotchy ink.  -sigh-  Fond memory or bad dream?  I know where I stand on that debate!

Here at Green Leaf Wood Studio, I hope to elevate the lowly ballpoint pen into a true work of art.  Using only the best components, I make fine writing instruments.  These bear no resemblence to the 10¢ disposable pieces of plastic that inhabit the darkest recesses of office furniture.  Instead, these add a touch of pizazz to your life.  These have instant "Wow!".  These are well-balanced, reliable tools which function as well as the quality of the refill you use.

Fountain pens

For style and elegance, a fountain pen is without equal.  With one, you send a message which says, “I appreciate the finer things life has to offer.”  It projects a powerful, successful image that others will notice.

Do you remember the days when using a fountain pen involved levers and drawing ink from a bottle?  If you answer "yes" then you must also remember inked hands, shirt pockets that were ruined, though colourful.  Those days are long behind us.  Today, most users utilize non-refillable cartridges which are available at any decent office supply store.  These are convenient and clean to use.  Still, for those who have special inks they prefer to use, each of these pens (except the El Toro models) come with a pump which allows refilling.

Our fountain pens are made using quality German nibs and the finest platings.  Special attention is given to wood selection and shaping which results in a fine writing instrument with superb balance and control.  These are a pleasure to use.

Collectible Writing Instruments

This is the place where I keep the best of the best.  These pens may be of interest to the collector either by the nature of the woods used or the details in the metalwork.  Also, the platings on these pens are the most brilliant and durable that I can find.  If you are looking for a special pen, suitable for your most important documents and correspondence (or the biggest 'deal' of your career!), you have come to the right place.

Enjoy!

Majestic Jr. fountain pen in buckeye burl Cap end detail Closed

For the fountain pen collector.  The gold in the fittings helps bring to life the richness of the buckeye burl wood in this fountain pen.  While the cap is postable, I do not recommend it because I feel it throws off the balance.  Without the cap, writing with this pen is nearly effortless.  Pure elegance.  $150.00
